Andrew Vietze is the award-winning, bestselling author of more than two dozen titles.

A member of the prestigious Gotham Ghostwriters and a writer/editor with Kevin Anderson Associates, Andrew has written a handful of titles as a ghost, including a guide to Los Angeles real estate, a novel from a screenplay for a public figure, a globe-trotting memoir about a child abduction, and a three-novel, young-adult series that hit bestseller lists and won multiple national awards.

His books have been featured on the Travel Channel, worked into statewide school curriculums, honored by the Maine State Legislature, and won distinction from the Independent Publisher Book Awards, Foreword Review’s Books of the Year, Purple Dragonfly, and Reader’s Choice Awards.

Andrew’s freelance work has taken him from the offices of NASA to the wilds of northern Canada to the digital worlds of the New York Times and the Weather Channel. The former managing editor of Down East, he’s written for an array of print and online outlets, including Frommer's, Rosen Publishing, Rowman and Littlefield, Globe, Lyons Press, National WIldlife, Big Sky Journal, MaineBiz, Intelligent.com, Popmatters, TravelBrains, Pearson Education, and Red Ventures.

He has been a distinguished lecturer at universities, spoken as part of the National Park Service’s Centennial Celebration, presented at national conferences, and given talks at countless libraries, historical societies, and schools.

A hardcore fan of Liverpool Football Club, and former singer/guitarist in several indie rock bands, Andrew spends six months of the year as a seasonal ranger in “forever wild” Baxter State Park. He lives off-grid in the woods of Waldo County with his partner, the writer Lilly Hurd, and his son, Leo.
